Even though Trumpkin and I got off to a rough start, I really, truly am glad to have him on my side. He's quite a good marksman and swordsman, and very quick-thinking in a pinch. His knowledge of Narnia--every part of it--is amazing! I'm forever going to him for directions or advice on where to travel to next (and really, when we were on our way to find Caspian, if Peter had just listened to him, it wouldn't have taken nearly as long...) Lucy and I call him the DLF (Dear Little Friend) but he didn't really take well to the nickname, so we don't call him that to his face anymore--I'd hate to hurt his feelings. Trumpkin is so brave and loyal, he's definitely a fantastic dwarf to have by your side in a pinch; he's saved my life--probably more than once.
