History:
Arianna was born and has lived in Archenland all of her privileged life, near where the Winding Arrow Rivers pours into the sea. She has grown up with servants waiting on call and almost everything done for her. She began her education at the early age of three and started soaking up the histories and legends of Archenland and the surrounding countries. Learning the legends of Narnia is how she came to love visiting the country to the north, in the hopes that she might run into the magical folk said to roam there, though she hasn't met anything of the like as of yet. Her visits are usually brought on by invitations to parties and banquets at the King's castle. Other visits are purely spur of the moment shopping sprees.
She would always hear travelers talking of rumors and news from all over. At the age of nine, she was once quizzed by the upstart son of a visiting Baron about the on goings in Calormen and was made out to be a foolish girl who knew nothing of the world around her when she replied that she hadn't the slightest notion what he was talking about. Since then, she designated a servant boy to gather information and news of current events so that she was always well informed and never to be made a fool of again.
A couple years later, at age eleven, her brother began combat training and accompanying their father on his hunting parties. Soon after, he teased Arina about being a weak girl who could never compare to his strength or bravery. Not one to stand for being made fun of, Arianna immediately set forth to participating in combat training. Her father forbid it, but after both Arianna and her mother speaking to him, he came to a compromise. Arina was allowed to train for one weapon at a time and he would say when she could move on. Archery was what she was allowed to learn first. For the next five years, Arianna trained with short bows, long bows, crossbows, shooting one arrow, two arrows, and shooting two arrows to hit separate targets. Long after she had far surpassed Karth in skill, Lord Biron finally let her move on to swordplay. She's had a month of training.
Most recently, Lord Biron announced that Arianna was to be married to the future Baron Thulgis Errynl, the very same son of a Baron from seven years previous who had made Arianna to look a fool. Outraged, Arina argued with her father, using every trick she knew to make him change his mind, but to no avail. Thulgis began visiting for courtship purposes. He had been cute when they were children, but he had become a gluttonous fool. Arianna never attempted to hide her disgust of him.
One night while Thulgis and his father were visiting, Arianna's parents stayed up late, entertaining their guests. Arianna feigned illness and went to her room early on. Once there, she began to pack clothes into a sack that she hung around her shoulders. She dressed in the plainest dress she owned and even ripped it in places and rubbed it in the dirt to make it look more peasant-like. She slipped down to the kitchen to steal two days worth of food and water before going to the armory to retrieve the long bow and quiver of arrows made especially for her after she mastered the weapon. She slipped both into a plain carrier and took a short sword that she tied to her pack.
Making sure that her parents and the Baron were still busy, she went to the stable to find her chestnut colored horse, Tyber. She cut his tail short to make him look more like a farmer's beast and then mounted him, riding towards the shoreline. She paused there and had to make a decision- if she ran North to Narnia, she ran the risk of being recognized by those of King Miraz's court, but if she ran South to Calormen, dressed as she was, they might easily capture her and make her a slave. She turned left and headed North for Narnia. She would be safe there as long as she stayed away from the castle.
When first asked what her name was in a town on the border of the two countries, she gave the name Choni, the name of one of her servants.
Further in Narnia, however, she found one person she couldn't possibly lie to, one person in almost the exact same place she was. The exiled Prince Caspian. Recognizing him instantly, the girl was overjoyed to find him. The idea of running off was fine and good, but she had no idea what more to do with herself. He was quite possibly the only person she had ever listened to, and Caspian, mildly annoyed, made her run around with endless instructions. Arianna had been acting like his little sister since, tagging along like his shadow even when the prince was with the Pevensies.
