It was early in the morning on a clear day that the day in the mainland of Narnia was slowly appearing after the long dead night. The stars overhead was slowly disappearing as the danced the last dance of the night while the two moons slowly vanished over the western mountains to other countries that were welcoming the long night. The colorful horizon of yellow, pink, and red appeared in grand master on the eastern skies as they were apart of the sun's parade of the long day. Dew had covered the grass like the first frost of the fall season while everyone and everything slowly came to life as the sun rose in the sky. Only a few people in Beruna were out in about in this early morning start from a young girl's point of view.
Rowen had been up since her father had left to go south to a small village leaving her with her sister Vivianne and her husband, who she both detested greatly. She had just landed in Narnia yesterday morning from the weeks ride from Avra's harbor. Walking quietly out of the house with her bow and arrow holder in her hand as she left for the day without leaving a word. Her father knew of her and her sister's relationship somehow with no word he let Rowen make her own decisions. If she didn't want to talk to her sister it was fine by him. Rowen sighed at her thoughts as she walked out of the town and into the outskirts along the path towards the newly built bridge that led travelers into Beruna.
She heard about rumors and yet news that the Kings and Queens were back and that Jadis might be returning. This made her think and yet it surprised her greatly. The White Witch couldn't be returning because Aslan killed her at the the Battle here in Beruna. If he did then how could she be alive? Millions of possible answers were forming in her mind as she came to the bridge with the rocky pathway. She hoped that this was just a rumor and not the real thing. If so then everyone would think Aslan was lying, but Rowen knew that he wasn't since she read alot in her spare time. Rowen cleared her head as she begin to walk across the vacant bridge that would be vacant until the later hours of the morning.

A lot of worries had been on the mind of the young High King lately. To escape these worries about Jadis and all the others rumors swirling around Narnia at the time being, the young king would simply escape the castle and spend hours at a time off somewhere, simply enjoying the beauty in Narnia. There wasn’t a place he would rather be, ever again. He loved Narnia, and would fight for it to the death. However, he wasn’t prepared to actually do such. He wanted only peace for the Narnians, no war or fighting. They had had enough when it had been time to fight against Miraz. It was time for peace. Peter could not promise that to them, however. He would just have to wait and see.
That particular morning he was up before the dawn. It was something he thoroughly enjoyed and did often. While his siblings and Caspian continued to sleep for a few hours yet, Peter would be up. Unfortunately for the servants, they were usually up with Peter, trying to force feed him. He usually only took small parcels, an apple here or there. And he would usually dismiss them, tell them to go off and enjoy their day. The Pevensie family had trouble with servants. They just simply disliked having people wait on them hand and foot. They felt it was wrong, in a way.
Deciding that he would give his stallion, Magic, a day of rest, Peter set off on foot, wandering slowly through the landscapes of Narnia. A soft smile never left his face as he recalled the many memories he had made throughout his times in Narnia. During the Golden Age and after the defeat of the White Witch, he had grown older in Narnia. He was at the prime of his life, older, but young enough to be able to fight hard for his people. Now, when he had returned, he was back to being young again. Not that he minded. He enjoyed all the time he could possibly get in Narnia.
He walked quite a way, to Beruna in fact. Here, he was close to the spot where the first battle he had experienced in Narnia happened. Memories flooded back to him then. It seemed not so long ago, even though in Narnian years it had been thousands of years. To him, it had been slightly over a year. Smiling softly, he made his way along pathways, not knowing quite where he intended on getting. Up ahead, he spotted a girl, about his age, he would say. Deciding a bit of company would be a grand thing, he sped up a bit, calling out to her. “Hello!” He paused, halting his steps. “Care for some company?” He asked politely, waiting for her response. Rowen had her thought in her mind wondering about where was her father headed or the ever lasting rumors that had reached Avra in the matter of days since it arrived from here in the mainland. She had to stop worrying about it, but she couldn't help it no the less. She wasn't of mainland heritage, but island heritage. No one in her family was from here that she knew of as she walked along the path then slowly up the newly rebuilt bridge. Where was she headed? She didn't know and let her feet do the deciding on where to go first her first outing here in Narnia. Rowen felt happy to be back since the last time it was for her sister's marriage and boy she hated it badly. She pushed that in the back of her mind before continuing on across the bridge without thinking anything else for the moment.
She was about nearly halfway across the bridge when she heard a voice yelling at her. Was she not supposed to cross the bridge until a certain time? She was somewhat afraid, but when she turned to see the voice it was a boy around her age to the looks of it. Hearing his question she paused for a moment,"Of course." she called back not knowing, who it was anyway, but she didn't know it was the High King and her Emperor where she came from now didn't she? Rowen stood to the side and adjusted her strap of her holder to wait on him. Whoever he was he seemed nice and all. So much for being alone on her first day here.
Rowen wondered who he was, but knew that she would find out later on anyways. She looked down at the water for a bit with a certain glare from the light reflecting from the sun. Rowen glanced away seeing spots in her eyes, but she was used to it from living on the island and such. "I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one out today." she said commenting on them being the only two out and about as of right now. Almost all of Narnia was still asleep at this young hour of the day.

Peter smiled slightly as the girl turned and stopped, allowing him to catch up to her. He didn’t mind, but it was becoming quite a habit for those to not recognize him. Most regular Narnians would have known it was their High King who was jogging towards them. Smiling, he of course, did not mind. Finally catching up to where she stood on the bridge, about halfway across, he stopped alongside her, catching his breath slightly. It didn’t take long, he was in a rather good shape, but still.
She spoke again before he had a chance to. He smiled at her comment. He was usually up and around Narnia early in the morning. He preferred this time of day to any other. It was beautiful and serene. Narnia was always beautiful, but watching the sun rise was the best thing in the world to do. “I’m usually out at this time. I like watching the sunrise.” Deciding that this time, he would introduce himself instead of play along and get amusement, he extended a hand to her, smiling. “I’m Peter Pevensie, by the way.” Grinning, he decided that if she didn’t know who he was now, he wasn’t going to explain that he was the High King of Narnia. He would get amusement out of it, just as he had when he met Thalia.
Looking at her and then glancing at the surroundings, he found he hadn’t been in Beruna in a bit. Looking towards where the small village was, he asked, “Do you live here? In Beruna, I mean?” Grinning he remembered the place fondly. He made a mental note that he must visit there more often. Waiting for her to respond, he turned back to smile at her.
ooc: sorry this is short, my power is flickering and I wanted to get it done for you before it goes out! next one shall be better <3

Rowen waited for him to catch up to her while others would just leave people in the dust. At least her parents taught her that to be respectful to others since it was the nearly way of life in Avra where she came from. She watched him jog to her she made her smile somewhat. She wasn't going to leave him he could of walked to her. It didn't matter to her anyways. Rowen glanced around until he caught up to her she left him catch he's breath as she spoke about how they were the only ones out at this time. Rowen was always the person to start a subject before others could have a chance to think. It made her friends back at home get onto her about it.
"Same here especially where I come from. We don't have to worry about these hills though." She replied to his comment about watching the sunrise and all. It was then when he put out his hand to her she looked at him when he introduced himself. She was nearly dumbfounded when she found out that he was the High King and yet the Emperor where she came from. This was amazing to her and yet surprised her as a bright smile came to her face,"I'm sorry. This is just surprising to met not only the High King of Narnia, but the Emperor of the Lone Islands as well. I would never of guess that I would met you." Rowen said with a bright smile on her face. She feared that she was rambling on a bit right then as she took his outreached hand.
Rowen looked down for a bit to calm herself down since she was surprised and all,"Sorry for not introducing myself your majesty," she said looking back at him with a small smile,"My name is Rowen Belacqua from Avra in the Lone Islands." She was automatically answering two questions with one answer which she didn't like to do, but in this case was different. "I guess you like to surprise your subjects with your surprising introduction?" she asked laughing as a small joke. She hoped that he didn't take it seriously like other people usually did.
OOC: It's okay. You don't have to apologize for everything. lol. I hope your power doesn't go out or gets repaired soon.

He hoped that she wasn’t upset by his company. She didn’t seem to be so, and he was usually good at reading a person’s moods from how they were acting. However, he could also just be totally wrong. He knew that some mornings he wanted to simply be alone, instead of having to deal with other people. But those mornings were usually ones after a bad night. However, in Narnia, there weren’t many of those at all. So, most mornings he was welcome to company. In fact, at any given time, he was open to company. She seemed pleasant to have company this early in the morning, so he grinned, glad she wasn’t pushing him away, because he was simply in the mood for a conversation with someone new.
Her statement made him question. Well, where did she come from? Obviously somewhere without hills. He laughed at himself inside his head at such a stupid thought. Perhaps he would find out later where she came from, if it wasn’t Narnia. And that was also the reason she did not recognize him as the High King. Her bright smile when he introduced himself told him that now she knew, though. Her words were kind and sincere. He found himself smiling the entire time she spoke, his arms crossed, not in a confrontational way, but instead one that was slightly amused. “Well it’s a pleasure to meet you.” He responded, laughing softly.
There was no need for her to apologize, but he did let her introduce herself then. So she was from Avra, one of the Lone Islands, which he happened to be Emperor of. And her name was Rowen. He made sure to remember the name and her face, something he found he was quite good at. He tended to always remember names with faces. She spoke again and he laughed, not taking her words seriously at all. He enjoyed playful and joking banter. “I guess you like to not know the faces of those who govern you?” He smiled, hoping that she would take his words as a joke. Laughing, he spoke again, this time making up for last. “But, Ms. Belacqua, may I ask why you are in Narnia, if your home is Avra?” He asked, taking a step forward, hoping she would do so as well. It didn’t hurt to talk and walk.

Rowen stood there for a moment taking in the early moring noises of the birds and the water under the bridge. She still couldn't believe that she was talking to the ruler over Narnia and the Lone Islands. It was still a shock to her, but she was smiling brightly about it though. She saw him cross his arms and the facial expression was somewhat funny to her. He was actually a nice person to talk to even though the rumors spoke different about him though. "Same to you, your majesty." she replied with a small laugh. Rowen was respectful when it came to upper class people who were associated with Narnia or Archenland anyone beyond them didn't get her respect.
Thinking about her apology she almost winced at it, but at least she kept her face calm somewhat when she introduced herself to him. "Yes, somewhat. I know you, but the governs in Avra are good, but every snobbish." she replied telling the truth. Her father used to work for was really snobbish in a way. She guessed that alot of men in the governorment there was like that. "Rowen, I don't like the sound of Ms. Belacqua it sounds old." Rowen said wanting to be called by Rowen and not the school name that many teachers called their students by. "My father is on buisness here in either Narnia, Archenland, or Calormen. He doesn't want me to stay by myself on Avra even though I'm old enough. He brought me here to stay with my sister in Beruna." Rowen replied making a dull tone at the word sister, who she didn't want to be around anyway. Rowen looked at him when he walked closer to her, but she wasn't afraid.

The early morning was lively around them. Although the two of them may have been the only humans out and about, there was a different story when it came to other forms of life. The trees seemed to be dancing about, something Peter had grown to appreciate very much since the fight against Miraz. The birds and other small creatures too were making their own noises, singing praise to the new day. It was beautiful and miraculous. Peter couldn’t ask for a more lovely morning.
He smiled when she replied back that she was pleased to meet him too. He was not sure what people said of him. Perhaps they talked badly. He did not care though, really. As long as he knew he treated his people fairly and kindly, and always protected them against whatever could happen, he knew he was doing his job right. Any sort of rumors that were spread about him, he could care less for. He knew that most of his subjects knew how he was, and that there was much more to him and his siblings than being the kings and queens of Narnia.
As she tried to make up for not knowing him, he laughed softly. “Oh, no need to worry. I was just joking with you!” He smiled, hoping she was taking his words seriously. He would hate for her to think he was awful, especially since she was obviously a visitor to Narnia. He smiled as she told him to call her Rowen. “Rowen it is then.” He smiled, laughing again. He then listened intently as she spoke of why she was in Narnia. He couldn’t help but pick up on the lack of enthusiasm when she spoke of her sister. Perhaps Peter knew of her sister, if she lived here in Beruna? But maybe not. He couldn’t know everyone, of course. They continued walking and he responded to her reasoning for being in Narnia. “Well, don’t sound too excited at the mention of your sister.” Laughing, he paused for a moment. “So, are you liking Narnia thus far?”
