When the Seasons Change,Remember How I used to Be
Name: King Caspian X
Age: 17(?)
Race: Telmarine
Loyal to: Narnia
Family: parents are deceased, uncle the King Miraz
There's a voice that calls,Remember who you are
History:
All his life, Caspian had known that something was being hidden from him. It was like a little voice, telling him there was more out there. When, as a child, his nurse began to tell him stories of long ago Narnia, filled with talking animals, tress and a benevolent Lion-king, Caspian passed them off as merely stories. Still, something nagged at him. Still he wondered ? could they be true? He wondered why, if they were true, the stories would have been hidden from him. Was that not something that the prince ought to know, so he could help his subjects live in freedom?
When his uncle, King Miraz (for his father had died many years before, though Caspian did not know the truth to his death) sent his nurse away for filling his head with nonsense, Caspian began, once again, to wonder. What was being hidden from him? There were many questions in Caspian?s mind, but the subject only evoked anger within his uncle and he quickly learned not to speak of it. No one else would speak of it either, which bothered Caspian. Why could someone not tell him simply whether it all was true or not?
Then, one day, he was given a new tutor ? the old, wrinkled Doctor Cornelius. Caspian held no great fondness for the man, though he respected him as a young man ought to respect his elders. So it was with great surprise that Caspian agreed to attend Dr. Cornelius at the top of one of the most secluded towers one night to see a great spectacle in the sky. Caspian thought that it would be exciting, he had never been in that tower before.
Caspian found he was not truly there for the sky though; instead, he was told of Narnia?s true heritage. He was told of the creatures hidden away from Miraz?s wrath. And he was told that, as Miraz?s wife, the Queen, had just given birth to a son, Caspian would need to flee for his life. This all seemed so very strange to him ? so much was happening and he was not sure how best to process it. He had not even known his aunt to be with child, never mind that she had given birth to a son! He doubted, at first, but the good doctor?s urgency confirmed it within his mind.
Completely unaware of what he was getting into, Caspian set off on his loyal horse and found himself caught up in the company of talking beasts. They were kind to him, with the exception of one Dwarf who did not seem to much like him, and he easily won their trust. Within days, Caspian''s newfound friends were assembling an army for him; an army of talking beasts, creatures he had never thought he would lay eyes upon. What lies before him? Only time will tell.
To say that there were several scuffles in his path even before the war began would be to say somewhat of an understatement. Upon meeting the Pevensies after calling them with Queen Susan's horn, Caspian found that some he found more like able than...others. Susan, the eldest daughter, he took an instant liking to, no matter how much he tried to will it away, but Peter and him were fierce competitors from the very beginning. They were too much like each other not to be. The actual war was something Caspian preferred greatly not to think about, no matter how cowardly that was.
Planning a raid in his uncle's castle, the whole disaster went horribly wrong, and Caspian was left watching as his army was massacred on the other side of the gate. He wouldn't, nay, couldn't show pain, and thus turned to anger instead. The night's loss was a hard kick in his side, and Caspian turned to pass at least some of it to Peter. Fighting bitterly, they miraculously managed to be calmed down by the others-at least in part-and started up a new plan. Strangely enough, it was after all the pain that he started to really know Queen Susan, and he liked what he saw. Saving her in the forest, he reluctantly brought her back to the others-to danger. But they won the battle, and Caspian returned to be crowned a king of Narnia, where he would stand with the four Pevensies, misgivings forgotten.

Why was she torturing herself like this? One simple reason, seeming not nearly enough, but somehow always managing to get Alice out of the house. Keep up the human facade. Of course she didn't get bored-distractions coming easy as one of the vampires' biggest traits-but humans did, and she was expected to own the same manic energy in most classes. And of course she didn't get fat, but her peers did, and Alice had to fake the same fear of eating unhealthy foods she didn't need anyway. She had to have the same obsession about exercising, the same hectic desire to lose fifty pounds. Although, in her case it was questionable that there would be any of her left was she to lose so much weight.
Her slender fingers danced across her phone's keyboard with inhuman speed, Alice taking care not to break it like she had done so many times already. 'Get your lazy butt over here, darling. We don't wanna get fat, do we? Indoor gym in five, luv, and don't be late.' Her cell made a satisfying beep as she sent the message to Serena's cell, and Alice slipped it back into her pocked with an exasperated sigh. Jasper still had his head lounged on her lap as he flipped lazily through his book, and showed no sign of moving anytime soon. She understood where he was coming from, though. But the little pixie just couldn't help herself. The curriculum at Bunchanridge was just to die for, and Forks weather was enough so that Alice didn't have to miss too much practice. She had, for example, soccer on Mondays and Wednesdays with Jasper himself, and Rosalie as well. She also had ballet on Sunday with Rose again, and than cheerleading by herself.
Most students wondered why she was so obsessive about such things, wondering how the girl had enough time. In honesty, Alice actually had too much. It was all a way to numb her boredom, and having never gone through school as a human, found it all a delightful experience. She even liked the politics of it all. But the reason for Jasper's disgruntlement was understandable. She was probably the only chick whom delighted in going to school in the afternoons. It was the best she could do, seeing as she would never be able to pull off living there. But she wanted to seem normal, wanted to be like every other girl her age. She just wanted a shot at a life she was never allowed, and somehow it seemed so much easier to achieve that at Buchanridge.
Alice was all about keeping her social life up, and even she would admit that one of the best ways to do so would be to hang out with the likes of the SGs. Not that she quite needed to, the bubbly junior having one of the most popular girls as her 'sister', and Alice was actually honestly fond of Serena Collins and Blair Verona. Both were just so amusing, and she'd kill to borrow Edward's little talent and see how the two's minds worked. And Alice had thought the politics in her time were bad enough-with all the manners and courtesies. High school right than was just as, if not even more, brutal. Which made it all the more exciting.
Stroking his cheek one last time, Alice kissed his cheek before carefully lifting his head off her lap and onto the cushions. He made no comment, which Alice took as him still being aggrieved that she would rather do something as trivial as exercise than just hang with him. Rolling her eyes, she wondered briefly if Rosalie was rubbing off on him, and grabbed the keys Edward had left on the coffee table on her way out. She had insisted on his Aston Vanquish, and he relented after half an hour of relentless pleading. It was not like Edward used it, anyway-stupid social recluse.
The thing drove like a dream, and all too soon was she driving into the school's parking area. Doing just so smoothly just opposite the gym's main building, Alice clicked the locks and strode into the gym, her normal bubbly smile on her face. She had done well in expecting at least some people to be there, so instead of Edward's suggestion of worn tracks and sneakers, had decided on a far cuter matching pair. People were there, alright, to most of which Alice smiled in response to their warms greetings, but not Serena. At least not yet. The girl fished out her sky blue iPod out of her pocket, colors again matching the rest of her, and settled against the nearest wall.
