History:
The Kim family had always been in service to the royalty of Narnia, be it castle of Cair Paravel, or to King Caspian himself, and Jun Min was no exception. His case was a little different though.
But lets start from the beginning, shall we?
Jun Min was born on the 16th day of the Crescent Moon, a dark haired baby to Kim Dong Hae and Kim Yoona, eldest son to the Kim family. A bundle of joy to the couple whom had been married for 3 years, Jun Min's father worked as a horse breaker and cavalry trainer for King Caspian, whilst Yoona worked as a cook in the castle. However, Jun min was not destined for either job.
Ever since he was a kid, the boy had shown an exceptional interest to flight, as well as to birds. So much so that by his seventh birthday, his father finally gave in to the boys pesterings and gave Jun Min a red-tailed hawk as a pet, which Jun Min quickly christened Ace, and loved the bird dearly. Of course, the boy of seven wasted no time in training his new pet. But what astounded both his parents was the speed of how Jun Min was able to train Ace. In less then the time span of 3 months, the fledgeling could stand upon Jun Min's arm without a leash to tie it there, and by the time the young bird was a year old, he swooped the skies like he was born there.
Around the age of 8, Jun Min's younger brother came in the picture, and whilst both his parents spent time to take care of Jong Woon, Jun min spent even more time outside with his Ace, soon training the bird to attack as well as to defend, a better guard bird unrivalled throughout Narnia.
At the age of 14, Dong Hae brought his eldest son to the cavalry training ground for a day, just for Jun Min to see what his father does on a daily basis, yet what intrigued Jun Min, was not the fighting men, but what went on above the sky. His little mouth gaped open as he gazed upwards, the sky teeming with fighter griffins in service to Caspian. The boy could have no better dream then a dream to fly in the skies aside his Ace, on top of a griffin.
And his dreams were realized, a year later. The Head of Army had realized, how well trained Ace was, as well as how much strategic thinking Jun Min had whenever he came to visit the Kim family, and took the boys out for a spin. As a result, Jun Min was taken in training. Not to be a soldier, not to be a guide nor a scout, but to be the man in charge of the aerial assault in battle, placed together with gryphons and other flying creatures, and there could be no bigger dream then the one he is living in right now.
